ACAC Hall of Fame Athlete Inductee: Jennifer Green

HONOURED ATHLETE INDUCTEE

The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is thrilled to announce Jennifer Green of the Medicine Hat Rattlers as a 2024 inductee into the ACAC Hall of Fame in the Athlete category.

Jeni's impact on the Women’s Volleyball program at Medicine Hat College during her tenure from 1990 to 1994 is etched in the annals of the institution's athletic history. Her remarkable achievements on the court, coupled with her academic dedication, have solidified her as one of the college's most celebrated athletes.

Jeni's commitment to both academics and athletics was exemplary. While pursuing her General Studies degree, she excelled on the volleyball court, earning numerous accolades including:

  • ACAC 1st Team All-Conference in 1991/92 and 1993/94
  • ACAC 2nd Team All-Conference in 1992/93
  • CCAA All Canadian in 1991/92

Jeni's impact transcended individual awards, as she left an indelible mark on the ACAC record books. In just four years of play, she achieved remarkable milestones, ranking #8 in all-time kills and serve aces in ACAC career stats with 999 kills and 145 serve aces. Under her leadership, the team compiled an impressive record of 60-18 and secured an ACAC bronze.

Green's influence extended beyond her statistics. She was revered as Medicine Hat College's Female Athlete of the Year and MVP of the Team. Her versatility as a middle player, adept at both attacking and passing, made her a strategic cornerstone of the team's game plan. Jeni's ability to perform under pressure and her consistent excellence made her a force to be reckoned with in the ACAC.

Congratulations, Jeni, on your induction into the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference Hall of Fame. Your outstanding contributions to Medicine Hat College's Women’s Volleyball program and your enduring legacy as a top-tier athlete will continue to inspire generations to come.
