ACAC Hall of Fame Athlete Inductee: Grace Box

HONOURED ATHLETE INDUCTEE

The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Grace Box of Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder as a 2024 inductee into the ACAC Hall of Fame in the Athlete category.

Grace Box's illustrious career in badminton at Concordia University of Edmonton is a testament to her unparalleled talent, dedication, and determination. Over five remarkable seasons, Grace left an indelible mark on the court, earning numerous accolades and championships along the way.

Athletic Accomplishments: 

  • ACAC Women’s Badminton Player of the Year (2009-10)
  • Four-time ACAC Badminton Gold Medalist
  • Two-time ACAC Silver Medalist
  • One-time ACAC Bronze Medalist
  • Five-time ACAC all-conference selection
  • CCAA All-Canadian
  • Three-time CCAA National Championship Silver Medalist and two-time Bronze Medalist

Beyond her collegiate career, Grace continued to excel in badminton, winning the 2015 Badminton Alberta Women’s Doubles Championship. She also represented Canada at the 2007 Canada Winter Games, earning a Bronze Medal. Grace's legacy extends beyond her achievements on the court. She has also contributed to the sport as a coach at The King’s University, passing on her knowledge and passion to the next generation of athletes.

Congratulations, Grace Box, on your induction into the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference Hall of Fame. Your remarkable achievements and contributions to the sport of badminton serve as an inspiration to all.
