ACAC Hall of Fame Team Inductee: SAIT Trojans Men's Basketball

HONOURED TEAM INDUCTEE 
The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is thrilled to announce the SAIT Trojans Men's Basketball team as a 2024 inductee into the ACAC Hall of Fame in the Team category.

The SAIT Trojans Men's Basketball team, spanning the years from 1981 to 1987, left an indelible mark on the ACAC, earning their rightful place in the 2024 ACAC Hall of Fame. This esteemed squad showcased unparalleled dominance, securing an extraordinary seven consecutive ACAC titles, a record that still stands as the longest streak in men's basketball history. Their consistent excellence extended beyond the provincial level, clinching two CCAA titles in 1982 and 1986, exemplifying their remarkable performance on the national stage.

Amidst their impressive victories, the Trojans also displayed resilience, earning two silver medals in 1984 and 1985, along with a bronze medal in 1983 at the CCAA championships. This exceptional collection of accolades speaks volumes about the team's sustained excellence and ability to perform under pressure. Their achievements not only reflect their athletic talents but also underscore the dedication, skill, and teamwork that defined this era of SAIT Trojans basketball.

In a testament to the enduring camaraderie and shared legacy of this exceptional team, the members reunited at the 2023 CCAA Men's Basketball Championships in Calgary. This reunion not only celebrated their past triumphs but also served as a reminder of the lasting impact and significance of the SAIT Trojans Men's Basketball team in the annals of ACAC history.

The team's well-deserved induction into the ACAC Hall of Fame solidifies their place among the legends of collegiate basketball in Alberta.
