ACAC Hall of Fame Team Inductee: Briercrest College Clippers Men's Volleyball

HONOURED TEAM INDUCTEE 
The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is thrilled to announce the 2010-2011 Briercrest College Clippers Men's Volleyball team as a 2024 inductee into the ACAC Hall of Fame in the Team category.

Comprising a talented roster of athletes, the team showcased exemplary performance and sportsmanship throughout its nomination seasons.

In the 2008-09 season, the Clippers secured the ACAC Men’s Volleyball Bronze Medal, with individual standouts earning recognition in the form of ACAC All-Conference honors, notably Scott Lesher on the 1st team and Joel Dyck on the 2nd team. The subsequent season, 2009-10, marked a significant achievement with the team winning the ACAC Men’s Volleyball Silver Medal, the second in the program's history. Once again, Scott Lesher and Trevor Klassen received ACAC All-Conference honors.

The pinnacle of success for the Briercrest College Clippers Men's Volleyball team came in the 2010-11 season. Not only did they claim the ACAC Men’s Volleyball Conference Champions Gold Medal, a historic first for Briercrest College since joining the ACAC in 1996, but they also went on to secure the CCAA Bronze Medal. The individual accolades during this remarkable season included CCAA All Canadian for Scott Lesher, CCAA Coach of the Year for Nigel Mullan, ACAC Player of the Year for Scott Lesher, ACAC Coach of the Year for Nigel Mullan, and ACAC All-Conference honors for Scott Lesher (1st team) and Joel Dyck (2nd team). Furthermore, the enduring legacy of the team continued, as a core group from the 2010-11 roster achieved the CCAA Silver Medal at the 2013 CCAA Men’s Volleyball National Championships hosted by Briercrest College.

The Briercrest College Clippers Men's Volleyball team's exceptional achievements have rightfully earned them a place in the prestigious ACAC Hall of Fame.
