2024 ACAC Women's Indoor Track Runner of the Year

Edmonton, AB (March 21, 2024) – 

Female Indoor Track Runner of the Year | Loami Rautenbach | Red Deer Queens:

The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Loami Rautenbach of the Red Deer Polytechnic (RDP) Queens has been selected as the 2023/2024 ACAC Women’s Indoor Track Runner of the Year.

Red Deer’s Rautenbach helped the RDP Queens win gold at the ACAC Indoor Track Championships. She (43.54) solidified gold in the women’s 300 m final. Rautenbach was a member of the Queens 4 x 200 m relay team (1:56.23) and RDP Queens 4 x 400 relay team (4:19.65) that earned gold medals at the University of Alberta Pavilion. She (1:43.50) picked up silver in the 600 m and finished fifth (8.56) in the 60 m.

“It is quite an honour to be named the ACAC Women’s Indoor Track Runner of the Year,” said Randy Stewart, Manager, Athletics and Student Life. “I want to congratulate Loami on her achievements this season, which are a reflection of her talent and commitment and the strong RDP Indoor Track program that coach Doug Spicer has helped to build over the past two seasons.”

Rautenbach was named to the ACAC Women’s Indoor Track All-Conference team.

Rautenbach, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing student, was also a member of the RDP Queens Cross Country Running team that won silver at the ACAC Championships in Lethbridge.

The ACAC Women’s Indoor Track Runner of the Year was determined by the results at the 2023/2024 ACAC Indoor Track Championships in Edmonton.
