2024 ACAC Women's Hockey Player of the Year

Edmonton, AB (March 14, 2024) –

Female Player of the Year | Kaylin Schellenberg | SAIT Trojans:

The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Kaylin Schellenberg of the SAIT Trojans has been selected as the 2023-24 ACAC Women's Hockey Player of the Year.

Kaylin Schellenberg, the standout goaltender for the SAIT Trojans women's hockey team, has been named the ACAC Women's Hockey Player of the Year, marking her as one of collegiate hockey's most outstanding talents.

With an impressive career spanning four years, Schellenberg has not only broken the Trojans' all-time save record with 1383 saves but also boasts an impressive .924 save percentage over 2591 minutes of play. This year alone, despite only playing 600 minutes and starting 6/12 games, Kaylin has still amassed 355 saves, and continues to be a leader and example within the Trojans.

Beyond her stellar performance on the ice, Schellenberg's leadership within the Trojans and the broader ACAC community underscores her as a true role model both athletically and academically.

Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, and pursuing studies in Architectural Technologies at SAIT, Schellenberg's legacy as a goaltender and student-athlete is poised to endure well beyond her time with the Trojans, inspiring future generations of athletes.

This prestigious award will be recognized at game three of the 2024 ACAC Women's Hockey Championship hosted by Lakeland Rustlers in Lloydminster, Alberta.
