Shae McIntyre orchestrated a remarkable weekend alongside the NAIT Ooks men's volleyball team, etching a historic milestone as they secured their inaugural berth to Nationals held at Camosun College in Victoria, BC. The electrifying journey commenced on Wednesday evening when the Ooks clashed with the Providence Pilots in the CCAA quarterfinals. Despite trailing 2-0, McIntyre's stellar performances spurred a remarkable comeback, propelling the team to a gripping 3-2 victory and sending them into the CCAA semifinals.

In the semifinal showdown against the Humber Hawks, the Ooks surged to an early 2-0 lead, only to face a relentless Humber resurgence, leveling the match at 2-2. Undeterred, the Ooks displayed resilience, clinching a nail-biting 16-14 triumph in the decisive fifth set, securing their berth in the CCAA Championship game. Throughout the weekend, McIntyre's unwavering presence was palpable, with the fifth-year Forest Technology student exhibiting an extraordinary display of skill and determination.

On Sunday night, McIntyre epitomized grit and leadership, leaving everything on the court as he guided the Ooks to a historic victory, seizing the coveted CCAA Gold Medal against Limoilou. Reverberating chants of the "Shae Mac Show" echoed through the gym, underscoring McIntyre's stellar performance, ultimately earning him the tournament MVP accolade.
