Cleisson Anklam, Keyano Huskies, Men's Futsal

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Anklam provided a leading presence on both sides of the ball for the Keyano Huskies Men's Futsal team as they repeated as ACAC Champions on the court in Lac La Biche.

Throughout the four game weekend for the Huskies, Anklam scored five goals, including a hat trick in Sunday's Championship game, a 5-3 win in favour of the Huskies. For his efforts throughout the weekend, Anklam earned Tournament MVP honours. The Huskies also limited their opposition to seven goals over the four-game tourney.

In leading the Huskies to a perfect 14-0 season on the futsal court, 10-0 in the regular season and 4-0 in the playoffs, Anklam helped the Huskies achieve a rare triple in the ACAC Men's Soccer/Futsal scene. The Huskies have now won three straight championships in ACAC Men's Soccer/Futsal with Anklam playing a key role in each victory.

Over the weekend, Anklam was also recognized as the ACAC Men's Futsal North Division Player of the Year and a member of the All-Conference team.

A product of São Luiz Gonzaga, Brazil, Anklam is currently in his third year of eligibility and is studying Business Administration.
