Mahdi Ahmadi, The King's Eagles, Men's Badminton

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Mahdi, alongside partner Khushi, demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork throughout the round-robin stage, finishing with a flawless 5-0 record.

Their outstanding form carried into the playoffs, culminating in TKU's historic first-ever national title in badminton. Remarkably, the duo maintained their dominance by not dropping a single game throughout the tournament.

Individually, Mahdi's stellar performance earned him prestigious accolades, including selection as a CCAA All-Canadian and the coveted title of CCAA Male Athlete of the Year.

 

GAME ON: A GLIMPSE AHEAD

Mahdi remains committed to his training regimen during the off-season, diligently preparing himself and his fellow Eagles for the upcoming challenge of hosting the 2025 CCAA National Badminton Championship.
