Autumn Roos, Red Deer Queens, Women's Volleyball
ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
In the final regular season match of the season, middle blocker Autumn Roos was a difference maker for the Red Deer Polytechnic Queens Volleyball team. Her impactful performance not only contributed to the team's success but also propelled her to the top of the blocks per set leaderboard.
Roos contributed a total of 17 points, which tied for the most on the team, and helped the Queens earn a four set win over the Olds College Broncos (25-20, 25-18, 21-25 and 25-23).
The six-foot-one student-athlete from Ponoka accumulated 10 kills, four service aces, three digs, three blocks and one assist. Roos had a remarkable 0.714 hitting percentage. The RDP Queens Volleyball team (13-6) finished second in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) South Division during the regular season.
