Corbin Cyprien, Keyano Huskies, Men's Soccer

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Cyprien was a defensive force for the Huskies en route to helping them achieve their fourth Men's Soccer Championship in ACAC history and first since 2017.

Across the two games, he sported a 0.75 goals against average and recorded one shutout while the Huskies secured both wins via penalty kicks. Friday, the Huskies and The King's University Eagles went all the way to penalty kicks with Cyprien helping his team secure the win. In Saturday's Championship game, he was rock solid after allowing two goals in the first half, giving the Huskies time to mount an incredible comeback and secure the title.

Following Saturday's Championship final, Cyprien was recognized as the Tournament's Most Valuable Player and as part of the tournament All-Star team.

A product of Fort McMurray, Alta., Cyprien finished the 2023 ACAC Regular season tied for second in goals allowed, tied for fourth in wins, and fourth in shutouts.

In his third year of eligibility studying Business Management, Cyprien concluded his ACAC regular season career with 13 wins, eight shutouts, and a 1.33 goals against average across 18 games, ranking him second in program history for both wins and shutouts.


 

GAME ON: A GLIMPSE AHEAD
The Keyano Huskies have successfully secured their place in the 2023 CCAA Men's Soccer National Championships, scheduled to be held from November 8th to 11th. This highly anticipated tournament will be hosted by St. Clair College in the vibrant city of Windsor, Ontario. Corbin and the Huskies are gearing up to represent their team and compete on the national stage for soccer supremacy. We wish them the best of luck as they embark on this thrilling journey!
