Women's Volleyball Huskies complete perfect home record with sweep of Rattlers

The Keyano Huskies Women's Volleyball team put an exclamation point on their home record for the 2022-23 ACAC Regular Season, sweeping the Medicine Hat College Rattlers (25-22, 25-17, 25-13) at the Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre in Fort McMurray, Alta.

A tight first set forced the Huskies to regain their focus and bear down at the end of it, coming out ahead 25-22. From there on out, the Huskies gradually improved, winning the second set 25-17 and the third set 25-13 to secure the win.

Tyneille Neufeld and Megan Polant led the charge with 15 and 12 kills, respectively. In her last regular season game, Lauren Huntley added four kills to her total. Amber Francis returned to the lineup to record five blocks while rookie Sofia Janzen had three to conclude her successful rookie campaign.

Emily Berringer earned Player of the Game honours for her side, leading the Rattlers with six kills. Neufeld took the honours for the Huskies.

Before the game, the team recognized their class of senior players in Neufeld, Huntley, and Ainsley Wolstenholme.
