Rattlers Sweep Ooks three straight sets

Rattlers Sweep Ooks three straight sets

The Medicine Hat College Rattlers played host to the visiting NAIT Ooks in women's ACAC volleyball action.  With the return to teams playing everyone in both conferences, tonight marked the first time the Ooks had played a regular season game in Medicine Hat in years.  The Rattlers started strongly and took set one 25-16.  NAIT took an early lead in set two and the teams traded points until the Rattlers got on a streak.  They closed the set 25-19 to go up two sets.  The third set was very similar to the second.  The Ooks got ahead early only to see MHC fight back.  The Rattlers won set three 25-21 and took the match in three sets.  The ACAC players of the game were #2 Kate Dyck from NAIt and #2 Emily Berringer from the Rattlers.  The Rattlers return to the Snakepit floor tomorrow to take on the Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves while the Ooks head to Briercrest.
