Ooks Drop Game to The Lions

On Friday night, the NAIT Ooks women's volleyball team played against the Ambrose Lions in the NAIT Gymnasium. The Lions won the match 3-0. 

The first set of the match between the Ooks and Lions was close. The Lions got an early lead over the Ooks. The Ooks were not going down without a fight, though, as they tied the score 17-17. The rest of the set remained close; however, the Lions won the set 25-23. 

After the first set, the Lions lead 1-0.

The Ooks get the lead over the Lions early in the second set. The Lions tied the set 3-3. The serve went back and forth between the Ooks and Lions for several points. The Lions get a ­­­­­­­six-point lead over the Ooks. The Ooks won't go down quickly, as number eight makes a massive kill. The Lions end up taking the set 25-18.

The third set between the Ooks and Lions started very close as points were exchanged back and forth, with neither team gaining more than a one or two-point lead over the other. The Lions get a three-point lead over the Ooks late in the set. The Ooks were relentless as they fought their way back, only to be down by one. The rally between both teams was intense as the Lions fought for the win of the match, and the Ooks fought to win their first set. It wasn't enough, as the Lions won the set 25- 22.  

The Lions win 3-0.

The players of the game were number three, Annika Dyck, from the Ooks and number eight, Lexi Herrod, from the Lions.
