Rattlers sweep Thunder to finish off the weekend

EDMONTON, AB (November 5th, 2022) – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) hosted the MHC Rattlers for their final game of the weekend. A strong effort from both teams kept the game close, but the Rattlers walk away with a final score of 3-0.

Despite the Medicine Hat Rattlers finding an eight-point lead in the first set, the Thunder came storming back to bring it back within one. Credit to a lot of soft touches to bring the ball over the blockers this set for both teams, the Rattlers take the first set 25-20. In the second set, Concordia found an early six-point lead but the Rattlers erase the deficit and go on a 9-0 run to be up four. The Rattlers take the second set with that mid-set spark 25-21, to go up two sets to none. The final set has both teams performing strong. For the most part, the Rattlers had the upper hand and will win the third set 25-22 despite it being a close game the whole set. The Rattlers come away with the win 3-0.

The One Team Sport players of the game were #5, Hailey Adams, for the Rattlers with 15 defensive points and #5 Sydney Horyn playing strong offensively and defensively for the Thunder.
