EDMONTON, AB – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder welcomed the King's Eagles in Saturday night volleyball action. The Eagles came out strong and never looked back as they took this one in straight sets 3-0.

In the first set, the Eagles jumped out to an early lead and withstood the Thunder comeback attempt as they took the set 25-18. In the second set, the Eagles carried their momentum forward as they had a strong showing and took the set 25-13. The third set was a back and forth affair as the Thunder battled to try and take a set. But the Eagles pulled away late to take the set by a 25-18 score to sweep the series.

This concludes the weekend series between the Thunder and Eagles with King's taking both games. The Thunder return to action next weekend as they have a Friday night, Saturday afternoon double header against the Keyano Huskies.

The Kahunaverse Players of the Game were #10 Lauren Kroetsch for the Eagles and #4 Emma Derbyshire for the Thunder.
