GPRC Host Double Header Against Concorida University

The Wolves welcomed the Concordia Thunder to their gym for a pair of weekend games. Their first home game since last year. Even with the frigid outdoor temperatures still looming, the gym was filled with excited Wolves Volleyball fans.

It was close first set, #3 Megan Fowler and #4 Emma Derbyshire both contributing 3 kills each. The set finished 25:21 for the Thunder.

The Wolves took a considerable lead early, before the Thunder narrowed the gap. #7 Leah Friesen and #9 Tianna Smith each had 4 digs. Back to back aces for the #10 Jaden Cross to finish the second set 25-16 Wolves.

Back and forth points were exchanged during the 3rd set until the Thunder took the vicotry 25-22. #9 Tianna Smith from the Thunder put 5 kills on the board to lead the team. The Thunder go up 2-1.

The Wolves took an early lead in the 4th and never looked back. They finish the set 25-17 to force the 5th set.

Wolves switch at half, leading 8-4. Leah Friesen serves to the end and the Wolves win 15-7.

Player of the Game for the Concordia Thunder was #11 Kassidy Kowalski with 13 kills and for the GPRC Wolves #14 Lana Matthews with 8 kills.
