EDMONTON, ALTA. – The NAIT Ooks defeated the Concordia Thunder 3-0 in ACAC women's volleyball action on Saturday night in the NAIT Gymnasium.

The NAIT Ooks grabbed the momentum early, as they took the first set 25-15. NAIT continued to roll the second set 25-23, then dominating the third and final set 25-13 to defeat the Thunder in straight sets and claim their first-weekend sweep of the season.

"Great effort this weekend to get the sweep. Everyone contributed. We've been focused and working hard in practice. It's nice to see our hard work paying off," said NAIT head coach, Benj Heinrichs.

With this win, the Ooks improve to 4-16 and are now tied with the Concordia Thunder (4-17) for 6th in the ACAC north division.

What's Next?

The NAIT Ooks will now head to the Grande Prairie next weekend to take on the GPRC Wolves. The Concordia Thunder will also travel north; they are headed to Ft.McMurray to take on the Keyano Huskies.
