Rustlers defeat Eagles in 3

The Lakeland Rustlers defeated the King's Eagles in 3 sets (25-17, 25-18, 25-23) Saturday night in Lloydminster.

The Rustlers took a 9-5 lead in the first set, with lots of energy in the gym.  The Eagles came back to tie the score at 12, before taking a 14-12 lead.  The Rustlers responded, taking a 20-16 lead before going on to win 25-17.  In the second set, the Rustlers got out to a quick 6-1 lead, but the Eagles cut into the Rustlers lead, making the score 7-5.  The Rustlers would open up another five-point lead, but this time, the Eagles fought back to tie the score at 11.  The Rustlers then would go on a run and win the set 25-18.  The teams would go back and forth to start the third set before the Rustlers took leads of 7-3 and 12-7.  The Rustlers remained in control of the set before the Eagles fought back to tie the game at 17.  The teams would go back and forth for the remainder of the set before the Rustlers were able to score consecutive points on way to a 25-23 win.
