Rustlers defeat Huskies in 3

The Lakeland Rustlers defeated the Keyano Huskies in 3 sets (25-14, 25-13, 25-11) Friday night in Lloydminster.  

The two teams traded points to start the match before the Rustlers took a 13-7 lead.  The Rustlers would give up a couple of points on miscommunications, thanks to good ball play bu the Huskies.  The Rustlers were able to extend their lead to 19-11 before going on to win 25-14.  The Rustlers took control of the second set in the opening minutes and never looked back, opening up a 7-1 lead.  The Huskies were able to score a couple of points on Lakeland errors, before the Rustlers built a 11-3 lead.  The Rustlers extended their lead to 1708 and 21-11 before winning the set 25-13.  The third set was all Rustlers, as they took a 5-2 lead to start the set.  The Rustlers doubled their lead to 10-4, and continued to extend it through the set.  The Rustlers won the third set 25-11. 

Player of the Game for the Rustlers was #6, Ahnika Kuse.  Player of the Game for the Huskies was #1 Lauren Popowich.
