The stage was set for an exciting bronze medal match as Keyano and Queens took to the field, with cooler weather adding to the electrifying atmosphere among the eager crowd. The anticipation was high and the players wasted no time in making their mark.
First Half:
Keyano quickly established their dominance, with early shots from players #11 and #10 signaling their intent. The breakthrough came in the 9th minute when #13 found the back of the net, assisted by #17, putting Keyano ahead 1-0. Queens responded with an effort from #14, but the shot went wide. Keyano's #9 attempted to extend the lead, yet missed the target.
Queens continued to press, with #14 again testing Keyano's defense, but this time her shot was denied by the Keyano goalkeeper. Keyano's persistence paid off in the 28th minute when #13 scored again, this time with another assist from #17, doubling their lead to 2-0.
As the half approached its end, Queens made a substitution, bringing #13 in for #4 in the 40th minute. Keyano, however, struck once more just before halftime. #6 scored a stunning goal, assisted by #9, leaving the score at 3-0 as the teams headed to the locker rooms.
Second Half:
The second half saw Queens make a tactical change, substituting #5 in for #14. Unfortunately, an injury in the 61st minute forced another substitution, disrupting Queens' rhythm. Keyano responded with a substitution of their own, bringing #14 in for #8 in the 63rd minute.
In the 66th minute, Keyano's #9 scored an unassisted goal, increasing their lead to 4-0. Queens tried to rally, but Keyano's defense remained steadfast. Queens made another substitution in the 82nd minute, bringing #12 on for #5 in an attempt to spark some offense.
Queens finally found the net in the 84th minute when #14 scored, assisted by #18, giving the crowd a moment to cheer. Shortly after, Queens made another substitution, bringing #7 in for #9 in the 85th minute, while Keyano responded by substituting #17 out for #21 in the 86th minute.
As the match drew to a close, the referee signaled for six minutes of additional time. Despite Queens' efforts to mount a comeback, they could not close the gap.
When the final whistle blew, Keyano emerged victorious with a commanding 4-1 win, securing the bronze medal and showcasing their skill and determination throughout the match. The players celebrated their hard-fought victory, while Queens showed resilience in a challenging game.
