WSOC| Kodiaks Fall 1-0 to The Visiting SAIT Trojans in Intense Matchup.
The Kodiaks looked to keep the carnage train going after a dominating 11-0 win as they faced off against the SAIT Trojans in their thanksgiving weekend showdown.
Both the Kodiaks and Trojans were battling all over the field trying to get something going although SAIT was generating most of the offensive action, the Kodiaks have been a brick wall on defense preventing anything from getting by them while collecting some good chances of their own.
The remainder of the half consisted of more battling all over the pitch but neither the Trojans nor Kodiaks were able to put anything in the back of the net despite multiple chances for both teams leaving the score at 0-0 at the end of the first frame of action.
The Kodiaks and the Trojans were really putting the pressure on each other trying to get something going early in the half to try and get the icebreaker and get the lead, but the goaltenders were locked in not giving up anything. The goaltenders continued to stop everything coming there way keeping the game scoreless as time ticked away in the 2nd half as the Kodiaks and Trojans offense tried to get something by them.
After banging on the Kodiaks front door, the Trojans got a corner kick which resulted in a header making its way into the back of the Kodiaks net by Trojans Grayce Valeria Herrera Perozo giving them the lead in the final minutes of the game. Despite many last-minute attempts from the Kodiaks to get the game back to even, the Trojans stayed strong and prevailed taking the game with a final score of 1-0.
