WSC| The Kodiaks and Broncos Go Home With a Point a Piece After Nail Biting 1-1 Tie

The Kodiaks looked to increase their record to 3-0 as they faced off against the Old's College Broncos in Kodiak country.

Both the Broncos and the Kodiaks struggled to capitalize offensively accumulating great chances on both ends of the field but were shut down by the goaltenders who have been key contributors to their team's success.

The Kodiaks broke the ice after Kodiaks Megan Morrison was able to tap the ball over the Broncos Goaltender to give Lethbridge the go-ahead in the tight match at the 22-minute mark of the 1st half.

Bronco's #12 Tiona Paton blew right through the Kodiaks defense and beat the goaltender to the left to score a huge goal for Old's tying the game back up at 1 as the final minutes of the 1st half ticked away putting the pressure back on the Kodiaks.

Both teams were able to tighten up defensively to close out the half to prevent any further scoring keeping the match tied 1-1 after the 1st half with both the Kodiaks and Broncos looking to make a big impact in the 2nd to try to take control of the game.

The Kodiaks had one goal in mind coming into the 2nd half and that was to be the better team, which is exactly what they did, even if it didn't show on the scoreboard. Lethbridge created opportunity after opportunity but just couldn't capitalize as the Broncos continued to hold their ground.

After a couple of unfortunate calls for the Kodiaks which resulted in the ejection of Kodiaks #6 Taylor Hrycun after receiving a red card, the Broncos have put the pressure on the Kodiaks as the game remained tied at 1 with time in the 2nd half running away as both teams looked to make something happen and take control of the game. After battling back and forth the Broncos and Kodiaks run out of time ending the nail-biting match in a 1-1 tie.
