SAIT remains unbeaten after narrow win over Medicine Hat College

CALGARY, ALTA. (Oct. 3, 2021) - The SAIT Trojans women's soccer team faced another tough test on Sunday, and once again passed.

The Trojans eeked out a 3-2 victory over the Medicine Hat College Rattlers in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) action played at SAIT's Cohos Commons Field.

SAIT moves to a perfect 4-0 on the season, while the Rattlers fall to 3-2.

Meaghan Wiebe kept her consecutive multi-goal game streak alive, as her two on Sunday gives her four straight games in which she has scored at least a pair. She now has nine goals in four games this season. Teammate Kenzie Georgsen tacked on SAIT's other marker.

The win gives the Trojans the weekend sweep, as they also beat Lethbridge College 3-1 on Friday afternoon.

Mykayla Rigio was named Player of the Game for SAIT, while Shelby Bach earned the honours for Medicine Hat College.

The Trojans will resume their regular season this coming Friday when they head to Red Deer Polytechnic to take on the offensively gifted Queens.
