Wiebe's assault on the league continues as Trojans beat Kodiaks

CALGARY, ALTA. (Oct. 1, 2021) - Meaghan Wiebe continued her blistering hot start to the season.

The first-year striker from Calgary scored a pair of goals, as her Trojans women's soccer team defeated their guests from Lethbridge College 3-1 on Friday afternoon at SAIT's Cohos Commons Field in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) play.

Wiebe now has an impressive seven goals through three games this season to help her Trojans to an undefeated start (3-0) to the 2021 campaign. Lethbridge College falls to 3-1 on the year.

Also scoring for SAIT on the day was veteran midfielder Jaime McPherson.

Lethbridge's lone goal came in the opening half from Krista Van Diemen. 

Players of the Game were Kenzie Georgsen from SAIT and Lauren Gray from the Kodiaks.

SAIT returns to action on Sunday when they host the Medicine Hat College Rattlers.
