NAIT Ooks and Lakeland Rustlers Tie

The NAIT Ooks and the Lakeland Rustlers both came to play on Sunday afternoon at Edmonton Scottish. The game ended in a 0-0 tie after a hard-fought battle by both sides.

Rustlers' midfielder Megan Hockley had a great chance in the minute-27 but was shut down by the Ooks defenders.

NAIT's Hayat Abubaker went back the other way and had a great attempt to put her team ahead; unfortunately, the shot went just wide of the goal.

Once again, the Lakeland Rustlers have possession as Kimberlea Pfeil made a beautiful pass to Megan Hockley, but NAIT Ooks goaltender Kailey Harder slid in for the save.

The Lakeland goalie was out of her net just before the half, and Toni Burse had a beautiful chance, but Lakelands, Kyla Franks, came up big with a block.

The score was 0-0 after the half.

NAIT Ooks Rebecca Stienwand had a beautiful corner kick, but her team in front of the net just couldn't capitalize.

The shots in the game were 19-12 in favour of the Ooks.

Both teams look forward to their next games as NAIT takes on Grande Prairie on October 2nd, and Lakeland travels back to Edmonton to play The Kings University Eagles on October 3rd.
