The rustlers came out hot scoring in the first 5 minutes, Kimberlea Pfiel scored the games first goal on the games first shot. This goal gave the Rustlers an early burst of momentum. However Concordia would prove that an older group wasn't to worried as they scored 11 minutes into the second half on a beautiful goal by Sarah McCelland. The Rustlers bounced back quick though, scoring just two minutes after to regain the lead. With tons of offensive preasure the Rustlers defence did a great job holding the lead until a penalty kick was rewarded late in the second half that would tie the game up. Not long after the Thunder would put away the game winning goal. Gabby Bayne showed great composure Leading her team to the win and earning herself a Player of The Game award. Davis Bone was able to keep alot of offensive presure on while keeping pressure on the deffence which led to some great oppertunitys for the Rustlers. With the final score being 3-2 for the Concordia Thunder they will be finnish the first weekend of play with a 1-1 record.
