LACOMBE, Alta. - The SAIT Trojans seized momentum late in the first half, then built on it en route to a 3-0 victory over the Olds College Broncos at MEGlobal Athletic Park in Lacombe on Friday, a makeup date for the match originally set for Oct. 6.

Jaime McPherson, Mataya Blakney and Sage Meyers all scored for the Trojans, while Amy Offredi only had to make two saves for the clean sheet.

Auslin McDaniel-Perrin was busy in the Broncos goal, making 12 saves in the losing effort.

The opening third of the match featured SAIT playing a solid midfield game, creating chances while stifling the Olds College attackers.

Their persistence was rewarded in the 33rd minute, as McPherson broke through to give the Trojans a 1-0 lead going into halftime.

After a lengthy injury delay in the second half, the Trojans came out firing, as Blakney and Meyers each converted opportunities from close range to send SAIT to the victory, and officially eliminating Olds College from playoff contention.
