On a beautiful day in Medicine Hat, The Red Deer Queens scored early and often handing the shorthanded, hometown Rattlers a 9-1 defeat in the Rattlers last game of the year. Victoria Dalziel opened the scoring in third minute putting Medicine Hat up 1-0. Hayley Nassichuk-Dean scored the first of her 5 goals just two minutes later to tie the game. Less then a minute later NAssichuk-Dean potted her second and Red Deer never looked back. The score at halftime was Red Deer 5 - Medicine Hat 1. The second continued with Red Deer firing on all cylinders and the scored four more times to end the game with a 9-1 victory. Kassidy Suberlak was peppered with 26 shots on goal and made several outstanding saves or the score could have been worse.
