The GPRC Wolves avenge yesterdays loss to Concordia by winning  2-0 Sunday afternoon in Grande Prairie.  

The Wolves controlled the tempo and held possession for most of the game. The first half was back and forth with both teams failing to capitalize on shots on net. Like the weather, the scoring was cold in the first 45 minutes. At the half, the teams were tied at zero. 

The Wolves ramped up the aggression in the second half. They looked to attack more and push deep into Thunder territory. A goal in the 77th minute by Madi Gillespie gave the Wolves a 1-0 lead. Danja Fredrickson added a goal in the 85th minute for the Wolves to secure the win, 2-0. 

Player of the Game for the Thunder was #5, Paige Martin. Player of the Game for the Wolves was #10, Calandra Bychyk.

The Thunder will wrap up their regular season next weekend as they host Keyano College on Saturday, October 20th and NAIT on Sunday, October 21st.

The Wolves travel to Edmonton to play NAIT on Saturday and to Camrose to face the Augustana Vikings on Sunday.
