Ooks Complete Sweep of Eagles With 6-0 Win

EDMONTON, ALTA. - Yuri Akatsu was too much for the King's Eagles to handle as she scored three goals for a hat-trick, leading the Ooks to a 6-0 victory over the Eagles Sunday afternoon on the Clareview Turf Field. 

Kennedy Hennig would be the lone goal scorer in the first half with her 31st-minute goal to put the Ooks up 1-0 through 45 minutes of play. In the second half, NAIT came out firing. Yuri Akatsu would add two goals in the first 20 minutes including one penalty kick. Kennedy Hennig then added her second goal of the game followed by a goal from Yumi Ishimura. Akatsu would then complete the hat-trick in the 83rd putting the Ooks up 6-0. 

The Ooks move to 8-0-0 and remain in first place atop the ACAC North Division, while Kaily Mohn remains the top scorer in the ACAC with 14 goals. NAIT will now play host to the GPRC Wolves on October 20th at Emerald Hill Sports Pavillion in Sherwood Park, 12:00 pm kickoff.
