Queens defeat Rustlers 4-0

The Red Deer Queens defeated the Lakeland Rustlers 4-0 Saturday afternoon in Lloydminster.

The Queens controlled ball early on, while the Rustlers struggled to keep the ball out of their end. The pressure applied by the Queens gave them numerous shots on net, leading to two goals by Hayley-Dean Nassichuk in the 12th and 28th minutes. The Rustlers were able to gain control of the ball late in the first half and have several shots on goal, but unable to score, giving Red Deer the 2-0 lead. 

The Queens once again controlled the ball early in the second half. The Rustlers had a couple of chances to score but were unable to capitalize. The Queens added to their lead, with another goal by Nassichuk in the 70th minute, and a goal by Kayla Yeo in the 75th minute, giving them the 4-0 win. 

Player of the Game for the Rustlers was #4, Sterling Cannon. Player of the Game for the Queens was #16, Hayley Nassichuk-Dean.
