In Medicine Hat today, the visiting Lethbridge Kodiaks travelled down Highway #3 to take on the hometown Medicine Hat College rattlers in women's ACAC soccer action. A goal in the 5th minute by Victoria Noronha staked the visitors to an early 1-0 lead. Both teams battled back and forth but the score remained unchanged. At halftime, the Kodiaks still led 1-0. Coming out of the gate quickly again, Lethbridge extended their lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 47th minute by Christine Moser. The rest of the afternoon saw the action go back and forth with both teams having chances. When the referee blew the final whistle, the Kodiaks came out ahead 2-0. The teams will now head back to practice before continuing league play next weekend. The player of the game for the Lethbridge Kodiaks was #12 Sydney Hope and the player of the game for Medicine Hat was #16 Emily Weimer.
