Kodiaks defeat Rustlers 2-1

On a cold, windy Saturday, the Lethbridge Kodiaks defeated the Lakeland Rustlers 2-1. 

The Lethbridge Kodiaks had control of the ball for most of the first half, with many scoring opportunities. The Rustlers also had their own chances to score, but neither team could find the back of the net and the score was tied at 0 at the half. Lakeland opened the scoring in the second half with a goal by #9 Jordyn Stratychuk in the 55th minute. The Kodiaks responded in the 62nd minute with a goal by #19 Brooklyn Bellavance.  Lethbridge added to their lead in the 80th minute with a goal by #9 Payden Olsen. 

Danielle Blacklock made 16 saves for the Rustlers. Jillian Brown made 7 saves for the Kodiaks. 

Player of the Game for the Rustlers was #9 Jordyn Stratychuk. Player of the Game for the Kodiaks was #19 Brooklyn Bellavance.
