Broncos Buck Pilots 9-2

After scoring three in the first half, the Olds College Broncos made a second-half push to put away the Prairie College Pilots 9-2 at Frank Grisdale Hall in the opener for both sides in the ACAC Women's Futsal South Regional.

Miyeko McInnes and Tiona Paton each scored hat tricks for the Broncos (1-0-0), while Shelbee Stebanuk, Kelsey Juengling and player of the game Kassidy Kelly each added singles for Olds College; Jane Morris picked up the win in goal.

For Prairie College (0-1-0), keeper Esther Bylsma and Ginny Anderson scored, while Rachel Laser earned player of the game honours for the Pilots. 

Both sides will now travel to the proper ACAC South Regional, hosted by Medicine Hat College this weekend. The Broncos' next matchup will be against the Lethbridge College Kodiaks at 3:30 p.m., with the Pilots facing off against the SAIT Trojans at 6 p.m.
