The King's University Eagles take on the Briercrest Clippers in the bronze medal game for the 2025 Women's Basketball Championships

The King's University Eagles secured a convincing 69-51 victory over the Briercrest Clippers in a competitive matchup. TKU's balanced scoring and strong shooting led them to victory, while BC struggled offensively despite their efforts on the boards.

The Eagles were led by Jamie Bunting, who recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, going 6-7 from the free-throw line. Aneilia Ayotte contributed 10 points, hitting 4-4 free throws and adding a rebound. Ella Majeau and Alyssa Yorke both scored 8 points, with Yorke grabbing 6 rebounds in just 17 minutes of play.

TKU shot an impressive 42.1% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc, while also converting 93.8% (15-16) from the free-throw line. Despite committing 17 turnovers, their solid shooting and control on the boards, with 38 rebounds compared to BC's 32, helped them stay in command.

On the other side, Sydney Waind led the Clippers with 14 points, including 4-4 from the free-throw line. Asia Wells added 10 points, while Amber Fichner pulled down 8 rebounds to go with 4 points. However, BC struggled from the field, shooting just 25.4% and 23.5% from 3-point range. Despite their strong free-throw shooting at 81% (17-21), their 15 turnovers and poor shooting hurt their chances.

The Eagle's superior shooting, ball movement, and rebounding allowed them to control the game and take the win, earning the bronze medal for the 2024/2025 ACAC basketball season.
