CALGARY, ALTA., (Jan. 7, 2023) - The SAIT Trojans women's basketball team could not salvage a weekend split.
The Trojans led by eight at the half, but could not close it out in the second half as they fell to the visiting St. Mary's University Lightning 71-66 in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) play held Saturday afternoon at The Jack Simpson Gymnasium.
SAIT falls to 7-3 on the season, while St. Mary's improves to 8-1.
Andrea Stitt and Maitlynn Wilde led the Lightning with 24 and 21 points, respectively.
Brook Baker paced the Trojans with 14 points.
Baker and Wilde were named Players of the Game.
