Rustlers fall again to Vikings

After a promising opening quarter, the Rustlers women's basketball team found themselves on the losing end of another competitive tilt with the Augustana Vikings.

The Rustlers debuted a new starting lineup, genereating plenty of scroing chances, but were unable to knock down enough of their shots against a stingy Vikings squad. After the score was tied at 18, Augustana won the second quarter 12-8 to lead at the half.

In the second, a couple of clutch three's kept the Vikings ahead, as the Rustlers struggled to capitalize on open shots. While they got to within four, the home side ultimately fell 67-56.

Jenessa Doctor had a game high 19 points while Veda Gottselig was the home side's POG. Wth the loss, the Rustlers fall to 3-7, needing a strong second half to make ground in the standings.
