WBB| Queens Take Round 2 of Weekend Doubleheader in Dominating Win Over Kodiaks

The Kodiaks looked to take the weekend sweep as they faced off against the RDP Queens in round 2 of their doubleheader

The Kodiaks went into the game with fire underneath their feet as they took the lead right away with Kodiaks #10 Kitawna Sparks taking charge and being a big influence all over the court as she grabbed 11 points in the 1st quarter. Despite the Kodiaks offensive aggression, the Queens found a way to get their feet moving and eventually jumped in front of the Kodiaks finishing the quarter ahead by a score of 16-14.

The Kodiaks were able to jump back in front of the Queens briefly to start the 2nd quarter but were quickly put behind once again as the Queens went on an offensive rampage earning themselves a comfortable double-digit lead as Queens #21 Peighton Melton put up 6 points to help grow their lead. The Kodiaks tried to find a way to put more points up on the scoreboard but were continuously beaten by the Queens as the 1st half ended with the Kodiaks trialing 41-33 to the RDP Queens.

The Queens continued to control the pace of play throughout the 3rd as they were able to hold their lead over the Kodiaks as Lethbridge kept being handled fouls allowing RDP to pick up some quick points to grow their lead to keep the Kodiaks at bay headed into the 4th quarter with the Queens up with a demanding 57-43 lead.

The Queens dominated once again taking advantage of all the Kodiaks miss-plays resulting in my point up on the scoreboard for RDP. Queens #23 Sandra Garcia Bernal grabbed 4 in the quarter bringing up her total for the game to 21 and 9 steals throughout to help lead her team to a 70-50 over the Kodiaks.
