Rattlers come up just short against the Broncos

The Medicine Hat College Rattlers played host to the visiting Olds College Broncos in women's ACAC basketball action in the SnakePit.  The Rattlers, looking for their first win of the season, came out with purpose and jumped on the Broncos ending a tight first quarter leading 21-20.  The Rattlers kept rolling in the second quarter and stretched their lead to 7 taking a 43-36 lead in to the half.  In the third quarter the Rattlers kept playing well and extended their lead to 12 with just one quarter to go.  Once the fourth quarter started, the Broncos looked like a different team.  Everything was clicking on offence and defence and they began to chip in to the Rattlers lead.  By the time the final whistle blew, the Broncos had come all the way back to take the game 71-64.  The ACAC players of the game were #8 Odett Schlegl from the Broncos and #6 Kirstie Johnstone from the Rattlers.  The teams will face off again tomorrow afternoon with the tip going at 1pm.
