Eagles win in Snake Pit

The TKU Eagles were down south to take on the Rattlers in the Snake Pit. A long travel day saw the Eagles looking like they had bus legs coming out of the gate. The Rattlers started running the floor quickly to look to take advantange. The home side was able to take a small lead early but this was quickly erased by a bigger Eagles squad. Quick to come ,the Eagles turned to their inside play stacking points quickly. Dominating in the paint the Eagles were able to open up a 10 point lead after the first quarter. The second quarter was more of the same with TKU scoring from inside while the Rattlers tried to use speed to get to the rim. As the starters came out of the game the scoring pace slowed and the Eagles maintained a double digit lead into the half.

The second half was almost a mirror image of the first. Both teams continued to play to their strengths and the game did not change. Out pacing the Rattlers scoring, the Eagles continued to stack points up, extending their lead. With the game all but over the starters came out again and the teams settled into an even scoring pace. When the final buzzer went the score was 77-48 with the Visitors taking the game.
