Trojans win by 20 in home opener

CALGARY, ALTA., October 14th - The SAIT Trojans women's basketball team took on the visiting Medicine Hat College Rattlers in their home opener Friday night.

Brook Baker led the Trojans with 17 points, as they defeated their guests 72-52 in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) action played at the University of Calgary.

The Trojans move to 1-0, while the Rattlers fall to 0-1.

Ava Kearl added 14 points for the Trojans, while Sheridan George paced the rattlers with 13 of her own.

Baker was named SAIT's Player of the Game. George earned the honour for Medicine Hat College.

SAIT returns to action on Oct. 21 when they will play the role of guests when they meet the Rattlers again.
