The Lakeland College Rustlers take on the Kings University Eagles tonight at 6pm at Lakeland College in Lloydminster, Alberta. The Rustlers started off the first quarter, neck-and-neck with the TKU Eagles. Both teams executing off fast break opportunities and off defensive turnovers. However the Rustlers managed to maintain a small lead to end the first quarter 25-12. The Eagles attempted to come back in the second quarter and halfway through got the lead down to 10 points. However, nearing the end of the quarter, the Rustlers leaned off the Eagles, ending the first half, 38-24. Entering into the third quarter, the Eagles were hustling on defence in attempt to limit the Rustlers lead. However, the Rustlers stayed in the lead and finished off the quarter 55-40. The fourth quarter was full of action and the Eagles went on a small run and were in reach of the Rustlers. However, with a lot of grit and hustle, the Rustlers finished up the game on top and still undefeated 69-54. The players of the game were #11 Hailey Somers off of the Lakeland College Rustlers and #21 A. Ayotte off of the Kings University Eagles.
