WBB| Kodiaks expand win streak to 6 as they defeat Briercrest Clippers

Kodiaks look to push win streak to 6 games as Clippers come to challenge them in Kodiak Country

 

Both teams struggled to get ahead of one another as the score was very close throughout the quarter. Kodiaks Kirsten Barwegen picked up 5 points in the quarter to give the Kodiaks the much-needed boost to push the Kodiaks ahead giving them a 19-12 lead at the end of the 1st quarter.

 

The Kodiaks were dominant in the 2nd quarter keeping the Clippers scoring to a minimum while the Kodiaks score kept going up as Kodiaks Kirsten Barwegen picked up 11 points in the quarter to give the Kodiaks a 33-25 lead finishing the first half.

 

The Kodiaks maintained their momentum from the first half and were extending their lead on the Clippers while Kodiaks Barwegen continued to be on fire pushing her score for the night to 24 points and keeping the Kodiaks in the lead going up 62-46 at the end of the 3rd quarter

 

The Kodiaks couldn't and wouldn't slow down in the 4th quarter as they got right back to work running away with the game as the Clippers struggled to gain any momentum. The Kodiaks took any opportunity they could and it helped push the Kodiaks to their 6th straight win as they defeat Briercrest 88-67.
