Ambrose Loses Tight Game to Rattlers

Ambrose Loses Tight Game to Rattlers

A back and forth game would see a more experienced Rattlers team stay composed and pull out the victory, ultimately winning 76-63.   The Lions fell behind early but clawed their way back into the game, only being down 2 going into the 4th quarter, but weren't able to close the game out on home court.

Katelyn Rozdeba (MHC – Player of the Game) and Tatiana Dutka, led the Rattlers offensively scoring a respective 20 & 17 points, while for the Lions, this game would see Munroe Brothers (AMB – Player of the Game) play extremely well on the offensive end, leading her team in scoring with 21 points.

At halftime, the Lions were trailing by 7, however at the 5 minute mark in the 3rd quarter, a 3 pointer by Avery Deighton, would result in the game being tied at 46.   Katelyn Rozdeba and the Rattlers quickly quieted the crowd and stymied the Lions momentum with multiple shots of their own.  By the 4th quarter, the Rattlers were up again by 9.

The Lions didn't have an answer for the high-post game of the Rattlers as their zone defensive struggled limiting the opportunities for Paige Cooper and Rozdeba.

This win, was the first of the season for the Rattlers, bringing their record to 1-2 while the loss for the Lions has them at a 0-3 record for the season so far.
