Clippers win in key game

CARONPORT, SK- The Clippers and Queens played on Friday night, the Clippers came out big winning 75-71.

The game started off high scoring and explosive, being a team effort for both sides. But the Clippers had an edge on the Queens, the score being 24-19 at the end of the first quarter.

Off the second quarter the Queens looked to close the lead the Clippers opened up. The Queens and Clippers battled out some gritty plays which saw turnovers and steals. The Clippers however, held their lead, but not much with the score being 40-39 going into halftime.

Coming into the second half was absolute synergy from the Clippers, coming up 24-10 just in the third quarter. A huge asset to this success was #6 Tracy Lewis coming up with 14 points and 10 rebounds in the game so far.  The score was 64-49 going into fourth quarter.

In the fourth quarter was the Queens stealing the Clippers energy, just in this quarter they outscored the Clippers 11-23. It wasn't enough though to win and the Clippers came out huge wining 75-71.

Player of the game for the Clippers was fourth year graduating athlete #3 Victoria Voth with 9 points and 4 steals in an awesome game. For the Queens, #13 Zeina El Barky with 15 points in a solid game.
