Lakeland Rustlers sweep this weekend with a win today against the visiting GPRC Wolves

The first quarter started off slow by both teams there had not been a lot of scoring from either side. At the end of the first quarter Lakeland was up 12-7 against the GPRC Wolves. The Rustlers seemed to hit a spark with their offense, as their up tempo pace pushed their lead to 23 points. It was a strong defensive effort in the second by the Rustlers as they held the Wolves once again to 7 points. It was the transition that the Wolves seemed to struggle shuting down as the Rustlers continued to push the lead. The Rustlers go into the half up 37-14. In the second half the Wolves were able to find ways to score against the Rustlers. However a couple 3 pointers by the Rustlers kept the lead big. End of the third quarter the score was 63-31 for the Rustlers. In the fourth the Wolves were able to out score the Rustlers 20 points to the Rustlers 14 however it was not enough to close the gap. Rustlers win the game 77-51 against the Wolves. Players of the game for the visiting GPRC Wolves #12 Sophie Melin with 13 points and from the Lakeland Rustlers #25 Brianne Hergott with 18 points.
