The Thunder finish off 2018 with a win over visiting Wolves

EDMONTON AB – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) took on the Grand Prairie Regional College (GPRC) in their second game of the weekend series. The Thunder took down the Wolves with a score of 71-45.

The Thunder picked up where they left off after last night's victory, coming out strong and taking an lead early, putting up 32 points in the first half, compared to the Wolves 14 points. The Thunder kept the pressure on, scoring 22 points in the 3rd quarter, and finally putting it away in the 4th with a quarter score of 17-17.  

With this win the Thunder put themselves in a 3-way tie for first place with NAIT and UAA, GPRC is still looking for their first win of the season. Both teams will be starting their winter break and won't be playing again till the New Year. The Big Kahuna Player of the Game for the visiting Wolves is #10 Lilee Burke-Stasiuk who put up 21 points and 5-11 from the 3-point line. #14 Anna Houtman was the Player of the Game for the Thunder who contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds.
