Keyano Huskies went with an inside game early as post Moiyan Toure showed her dominance by hitting six-of-six in the first half for 12 points in the paint and a Huskies 26-19 lead. She also corralled seven boards in the opening 20 minutes.

Huskies leading scorer for the early season, Augusta Kievisaite (20.2 points per game) was held to four points in the first half.

A big time three-pointer by Sarah MacDonald in the closing seconds of the third period gave the Huskies a 38-31 advantage...one they would never surrender winning the contest 50-45.

MacDonald was Huskies Player of the Game with 12 points, six rebounds and two steals. Toure had a team high 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Huskies outrebounded the Thunder 35-27.

Sofia Lucadello was Thunder Player of the Game with nine points and six rebounds while playing a solid defence. Former Husky Danielle MacLellan led the Thunder with 15 points.

Thunder played majority of the game without point guard Morgan Dool who only played eight minutes in the first half.
