Vikings take second home victory

Camrose, AB - The Vikings Women's Basketball earned their second victory at home against the visiting Keyano Huskies with a score of 78-65.

The Vikings gained a lead early in the first period, finishing it off at 18-14. The second quarter saw them advance their lead to 42-26 hitting a couple three pointers early on. Keeping their lead in the third the score was 57-45 heading into the last 10 minutes of play. After several more three pointers the Augustana women came out with a 78-65 victory.

On the Keyano Huskies side third year post, Moiyan Toure, was given the Player of the Game Award with 27 points and 8 rebounds. Augusta Kievisaite and Sarah MacDonald also added 15 and 16 points respectively.

Augustana Vikings veteran guard, Torey Lauber, was awarded Player of the Game with an outstanding 16 points and 10 rebounds. Second year Jessica Haenni also chipped in 20 points.
